The Department of Gynecologic Oncology investigative efforts focus on clinical and translational research. All staff members are active in one or more areas. Approximately 50 active phase I and phase II trials are in place. A multidisciplinary collaboration between the departments of Gynecologic Oncology, Gynecologic Medical Oncology, Radiation Therapy and Pathology provides opportunities for research studies in prevention and treatment of gynecologic malignancies such as cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer and uterine sarcomas.
