Power Packed Milkshake

1 cup ice cream (any flavor)
1 envelope Carnation Instant Breakfast or ¼ cup nonfat dry milk powder
½ cup whole milk
½ cup fresh, frozen or canned fruit (berries, banana, cherry, peach or combination)
or 2-4 tablespoons syrup (chocolate, butterscotch, strawberry) 
or 1 teaspoon instant coffee(dissolved in 1 tablespoon hot water)
or 3 tablespoons peanut butter

  • Combine all ingredients in blender and mix on high until smooth
  • Freeze any portion not taken for later use
  • A canned supplement (such as Boost, Ensure, etc.) can be substituted for the Carnation Instant Breakfast and whole milk

575 calories, 16-26 grams protein

 

High Protein Milk

1 cup whole milk
4 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder

 

  • Stir until dissolved
  • Refrigerate
  • Use as a beverage or in cooking

270 calories, 18 grams protein

 

Fruity Shake

1 cup whole milk or soy milk (chilled)
½ cup silken tofu or yogurt (vanilla or fruited)
2 cups fresh or frozen fruit of your choice
2-3 tablespoons honey
2-3 ice cubes

  • Combine all ingredients in blender and mix on high until smooth
  • Makes two shakes or one giant shake
  • Freeze (or refrigerate) any portion not taken for later use

600 calories, 16 grams protein

High Protein Eggnog

1 cup high protein milk
¼ - ½ cup processed liquid egg
1 teaspoon sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla

  • Beat liquid egg well
  • Add part of high protein milk and mix well
  • Add the rest of the milk, sugar and vanilla and mix
  • Drink immediately

1 cup high protein milk
½ cup ice cream
¼ cup processed liquid egg
Flavoring as desired

  • Add scoop of ice cream to milk
  • Mix well
  • Add flavoring as desired
  • Refrigerate
