International Colloquium with Tel Aviv University
In May 2012, several faculty members and trainees from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology traveled to the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University in Tel Aviv, Israel, for an International Colloquium on Stem Cells, Organs and Cancer.

Also participating was Dr. Dina Chelouche Lev, from the Department of Cancer Biology, and Jeannine Garnett, a postdoctoral fellow in her lab.
The colloquium is part of an MD Anderson-Tel Aviv University Basic Science Exchange Program. It was proposed by Dr. Bill Klein and funded by MD Anderson’s Global Academic Programs. Future plans through 2012 include trainee visits to Houston and Tel Aviv and a conference to be hosted by our department, where several TAU faculty and students will participate this fall.
