Reducing the burden of cancer pain

Cancer and cancer treatment-related pain significantly reduce the quality of everyday life in many patients and the return to productivity in cancer survivors. Our pain research program seeks to reduce this burden through combined basic science and clinical investigations that clarify underlying mechanisms, better define the utility and lower the side effects of current pain treatments and through the discovery of novel analgesics and pain treatments.
