Making Cancer History® seminar returns to Aspen July 16

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center heads to Aspen this summer for its 17th annual Making Cancer History® seminar. The free event is slated for 1-3 p.m. on July 16 at Aspen Meadows Resort’s Paepcke Auditorium, 1000 N. Third St.

This year’s presenters will discuss the latest cancer treatment and prevention strategies. Doctors also will provide updates on recent developments advanced by MD Anderson’s Moon Shots Program, the institution’s unprecedented effort to significantly reduce deaths from cancer. Launched in September 2012, the Moon Shots Program comprises researchers and clinicians focusing initially on: acute myeloid leukemia/myelodysplastic syndromes, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, melanoma, lung cancer, prostate cancer, triple-negative breast cancer and high-grade serous ovarian cancer.
