The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Facility
The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Facility
The NMR core facility was founded by John McMurray, Ph.D., in 1999 with the Bruker DRX 300 MHz and DRX 500 MHz instruments. These instruments were later upgraded to the Avance 300 MHz and Avance 500 MHz with a liquid nitrogen cryo probe. In 2011, the Avance 600 MHz instrument was acquired from the Department of Experimental Diagnostic Imaging.
In 2002, Kumar Kaluarachchi, Ph.D., joined as the NMR facility manager. Aaron Walton is the facility administrator.
