Tissue Culture
The MAF Tissue Culture area is composed of two rooms, one of them devoted to molecular biology (MB) procedures and a TC room. The two rooms are equipped with:
- Six biosafety hoods
- Six CO2 incubators (one acquired after 2008 with capital funds)
- Two inverted microscopes
- One refrigerated bench top centrifuge
- One top -20°C freezer/refrigerator
- One MilliQ Ultrapure Water source of endotoxin free water
- One Cytation 5 Imaging reader
- One Electroporation machine

Mammalian Colony Picker
An automate platform that highly reduces the turnaround time of the process of hybridoma generation
Wet Laboratory
The MAF wet laboratory area has a total of two aisles equipped with:
- One sliding door refrigerator
- Two -80°C freezers
- Two ELISA washers (Dynex, Ultrawash plus microplate washer
- One ELISA reader
- One Transtar 96
- One Q fill 2 (Genetix) cell dispenser
- One luminometer
- One Nano-Drop UV-Vis Spectrophotometer
- One -20°C freezer
- Two Thermal Cycler machines
- One Varioskan LUX Multimode microplate reader
One OCTET platform
Provides pharmacokinetic services (acquired in 2014 with Capital funds)

Liquid Nitrogen Room
The MAF in Liquid Nitrogen Room is equipped with:
- Two Liquid Nitrogen Tanks (one recently transferred to the Core from other laboratory)
- Fluidix system with barcodes to inventory of liquid nitrogen stock
Shared Equipment
The facility, on an ad hoc basis, also shares equipment belonging to other groups in the Immunology Department. The following is a list of major equipment that can be used by the facility.
