Equipment
The North Campus facility has staff scientists with extensive expertise in multiparametric flow cytometry, cell sorting, confocal imaging (laser and spinning disc), multispectral imaging, live cell imaging, and digital microscopy. The environment provides an opportunity for peer-funded users to benefit from the broad expertise in cellular and molecular biology provided by facility staff and faculty. The NC provides cutting-edge equipment and experienced staff to MD Anderson as well as the Texas Medical Center as a whole.
The South Campus facility is located in the South Campus Research Building 2 (SCRB 2) in laboratories located within the Stem Cell Transplantation Research department. The mission of the South Campus Flow Cytometry & Cell Sorting Core Laboratory is to assist researchers by providing access to well maintained, state-of-the-art cytometers for sophisticated multiparametric single cell analysis. We provide services in instrument operation and training, experimental design, methods troubleshooting, data analysis, and interpretation of results. Our team of cytometry experts is equipped with wide breadth of expertise to help researchers make new discoveries in the fight against cancer with single cell research using cell sorting, analytical flow cytometry, and imaging flow cytometry. The ultimate goals of the SCFC are to facilitate the production of accurate, reliable data and high impact publications in the scientific literature and to improve treatment outcomes for cancer patients.
