B.S., Molecular Biology and Biological Sciences, 2003, Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, FL
Qian Peng, M.S.
Senior Research Assistant
Qian completed her master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, in 2013. Qian received training in basic cell and molecular biology techniques, as well as microscopy image analysis at UF Health following graduation. She has worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center since June 2014 and joined the LeBleu Lab as a research assistant and laboratory manager in August 2015. Qian is helping develop and maintain novel mouse models of breast cancer, studying the angiogenic response, perivascular coverage and immune infiltration in breast cancer progression.
Elena Rodriges Blanko, Ph.D.
Elena completed her B.S. in Biotechnology at DI Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology of Russia in 2007. She received her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Microbiology and Biochemistry in 2014 from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Carbondale, Illinois. Elena’s dissertation work was concentrated on mismatch repair and chromatin studies. She joined the LeBleu Lab in December 2014 as a postdoctoral fellow. Elena’s research interest is focused on pancreatic cancer, in particular the stromal and immune response in genetically engineered mouse models of PDAC.
