Target Audience
The 8th annual Texas Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology Conference is an interprofessional gathering of physicians, researchers, nurses, social workers, child life specialists, psychologists, and any individual working with or in support of adolescents and young adults with cancer, including patients and their caregivers.

This conference is being held in collaboration with the Sixth State of the Science Cancer Survivorship Research Symposium to be held March 2, 2018 and will feature panelists on AYA Cancer Survivorship. We encourage attendees to consider attending this conference as well. (Registration is free but limited to the first 200 pre-registrants.)
Call for Abstracts: abstracts due by January 26, 2018, and should be submitted to aya@mdanderson.org. Please email aya@mdanderson.org for additional information.

Educational Objectives
The general conference objectives are:
- To explore new and novel approaches to cancer care for young adults through the integration of personalized medicine.
- To explore holistic care for adolescent and young adults with cancer through the integration of palliative and integrative medicine.
- To discuss the psychosocial care of adolescents and young adults with cancer.
- To explore platforms for connectivity from diagnosis to survivorship for adolescents and young adults with cancer.
- To discuss state of the science related to specific disease types and complications of cancer in adolescents and young adults.
- To provide a platform for interprofessional engagement in discussion of current and future cancer care and research needs for the adolescent and young adult population.
Education Methods
The conference will employee podium and panel presentations, as well as breakout sessions to facilitate discussion about current and emerging topics in AYA cancer care.

- On-site registration opens at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Mar. 3, 2018. The conference will begin at 8:10 a.m. and will adjourn on 5:30 p.m.
- Advanced registration is encouraged as space and materials are limited.
- The course registration fee includes the tuition, breakfasts, lunches and breaks.

If you register online, a receipt/confirmation letter will be automatically emailed to the email address you list on the registration form. If you register by fax or mail, a receipt/confirmation letter will be sent to you within 10 working days of the receipt of your fee.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
The registration fee, minus a $50 administrative handling fee, is refundable if a written request is received on or before February 16, 2018. No refunds will be granted after that date. The request for a registration refund must include the tax identification number of the company or institution if registration was paid by a company or institution check.
The Department of CME/Conference Management reserves the right to cancel activitiesprior to the scheduled date, if low enrollment or other circumstances make it necessary. Each registrant will be notified either by mail, e-mail, or the contact numbers as given onthe registration form. In case of activity cancellation, liability of the Department of CME/Conference Management is limited to the registration fee. CME/Conference Management Services will refund the full registration fee. The Department of CME/ConferenceManagement reserves the right to limit the number of participants in a program and is not responsible for any expenses incurred by an individual whose registration is not confirmed and for whom space is not available.

Ground Transportation
Prices are subject to change and vary depending on the location of the conference.
- Houston is served by two airports, George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) and William P. Hobby (HOU).
- Taxicabs are available at an estimated cost of $50-60 to or from each airport.
- SuperShuttle operates a shuttle bus between George Bush Intercontinental Airport and the Houston Marriott Medical Center for $27 one-way and $54 round-trip. The shuttle between William P.
