Accreditation/Credit Designation Information
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 19.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Ethics
The sessions marked with “**” have been designated by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center for 3.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ in medical ethics and/or professional responsibility.
CME Certificates and Attendance Certificates
Certificates awarding AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM or certificates documenting attendance will be e-mailed when an individual completes the on-line CME Verification process after the activity. After this date, no CME or attendance certificates, or MOC credits will be issued.
Non-Physicians will receive a certificate of participation in accordance with state nursing boards, specialty societies, or other professional associations.
Maintenance of Certification
This live activity offers ABA MOCA 2.0 Part 2 (Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment) credits in the Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology Program® (known as MOCA 2.0®). Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABA MOC credit.
This activity contributes to the patient safety CME requirement for Part II: Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment of the American Board of Anesthesiology’s (ABA) redesigned Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology Program® (MOCA®), known as MOCA 2.0®. Please consult the ABA website, www.theABA.org, for a list of all MOCA 2.0 requirements.
Participant completion data will be shared with and transmitted to the ACCME on the participant’s behalf.
Nursing Continuing Education contact hours will be provided, along with pharmaceutical credit for the Mid-Level providers.
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is an approved provider with commendation of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association – Approver, an accredited approver with distinction, by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Institute for Cancer Care Innovation is proud to host the inaugural Global Enhanced Recovery Symposium in Houston, Texas. This is the first time MD Anderson Cancer Center, The University of Texas System, MD Anderson Cancer Network®, and national and international collaborators have come together to share, teach and learn about enhanced recovery initiatives happening around the world.
On behalf of the organizing committee, we invite you to submit a poster abstract that aligns with the symposium theme, Enhanced Recovery: A Patient-Centric, Value-Based Care Paradigm.
Poster Display
- Poster displays will be held February 20-21, 2020, in conjunction with the lunch and break sessions.
- The top 3 poster abstracts will be featured at the Welcome Reception on the opening night of the symposium, February 20, 2020.

On-site registration opens at 7:00 am on Thursday, February 20, 2020. The conference will begin at 7:45 am on Thursday, February 20, 2020, and adjourn on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at 3:30 pm.
Advance registration is encouraged as space and materials are limited.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
The registration fee (minus $50 administrative handling fee), is fundable if a written request is received on or before January 1, 2020. No refunds will be issued after this date. Although no refunds will be granted after January 1, 2020, you may transfer your registration to a colleague by contacting EnhancedRecoverySymposium2020@mdanderson.org to process the transfer of your registration to a colleague.
The Institute for Cancer Care Innovation reserves the right to cancel activities prior to the scheduled date, if low enrollment or other circumstances make it necessary. Each registrant will be notified by email or the contact numbers as given on the registration form.
In case of activity cancellation, liability of the Institute for Cancer Care Innovation is limited to the registration fee. The Institute for Cancer Care Innovation will refund the full registration fee.
The Institute for Cancer Care Innovation reserves the right to limit the number of participants in a program and is not responsible for any expenses incurred by an individual whose registration is not confirmed and for whom space is not available.

Accommodation is not included in the registration fee.
There is a limited room block for attendees at a discounted rate of $169 (USD) for the nights of February 19, 2020-February 21, 2020.

Parking Information
Mays Clinic Garage: Self-parking is $12 per day. Enter the Mays Clinic Garage at Entrance 5, located on Bertner Avenue between Holcombe Boulevard and Pressler Street. When you enter the Mays Clinic building, go to the third floor and follow the hallway signs to the Duncan Building, or ask a security guard for directions. Take Elevator Q up to the conference center located on floor 8.
You can enter on foot through the Mays Clinic via J.V. Johnson Avenue or through the main entrance via Pressler Street.
MD Anderson employees are encouraged to park in their normal location.
