Educational Information
Goal
Educational Objectives
This activity will present new treatment options to physicians and affiliated health professionals for patients with pancreatic cancer. In addition, multidisciplinary case studies will be presented highlighting optimal approaches to complex scenarios in this disease. The long-term goal of these efforts is to improve the survival rate of pancreatic cancer patients through evidence based approaches.
After attending the conference, participants should be able to:
- Implement genetic testing of patients and family members to screen for those who are at risk for developing pancreatic cancer and other cancers (knowledge, competence, performance, patient outcomes);
- Evaluate, counsel and treat patients with pancreatic cancer at all stages of disease (locally advanced, resectable, borderline resectable, metastatic) (knowledge, competence, performance);
- Provide a comprehensive understanding of innovative and emerging cancer therapies, inclusive of the side effects, to the cancer patient (knowledge, competence, performance, patient outcomes); and
- Apprise fellow clinicians and healthcare providers of emerging paradigms of the latest clinical trials and supportive care (knowledge, competence).

Evaluation
A conference evaluation survey will provide participants with the opportunity to comment on the value of the program content to their practice decisions, performance improvement activities, or possible impact on patient health status. Participants will also have the opportunity to comment on any perceived commercial bias in the presentations as well as to identify future educational topics.

ABIM Maintenance of Certification (MOC)
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 12.00 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to goal. This activity will present new treatment options to physicians for patients with pancreatic cancer. Through preclinical studies, our researchers have identified a tumor-promoting pathway that, when inhibited, reduces the rate of resistance to validated targeted therapy drugs. The long-term goal of these efforts is to improve the survival rate of pancreatic cancer patients by intercepting pancreatic cancer before it becomes deadly. submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
In order to receive MOC points, you will need to pass the post-test with a score of 70% or higher. You will be able to take the test as many times as you need to in order to pass.
Participant completion data will be shared with and transmitted to the ACCME on the participant’s behalf.

On-site registration for the Multidisciplinary Therapy of Pancreas Cancer Conference opens at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2020. The opening session will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2020 and the conference will adjourn at 4:20 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 2020.

The registration fee, minus a $50 administrative handling fee, is refundable if a written request is received on or before April 23, 2020. No refunds will be granted after that date. Parking Information
Parking is available in Garage 10, which is located on the east side of the Clark Clinic, for $13 per day. There are EasyPay Stations on the first, second and third floors, instead of a cashier. The EasyPay Station is a self-serve payment station and will take cash or credit cards. You feed your ticket into the machine, it tells you how much you owe, you then pay that amount and the machine returns your "paid" ticket.
