Join us November 16-19, 2020 (Melbourne local time) for the first Global Academic Programs (GAP) virtual conference.
The conference rotates host sites between Houston and a sister institution each year. Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, in Melbourne, Australia, is the host of the 2020 annual conference. However, due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, for the first time, GAP 2020 will be held as a virtual event.
The conference is a forum where MD Anderson Cancer Center and its global network of hospitals, health systems and research institutions collaborate to develop impactful, innovative ideas and research that help MD Anderson achieve its mission to end cancer globally.
The 2020 conference centers on the theme “New Frontiers – Leading Inspired Cancer Care.” This theme reflects the speed at which cancer care is changing with the integration of new technologies, while most importantly ensuring that the patient remains at the center of all we do.
The GAP 2020 program features an engaging line up of plenary speakers and parallel sessions highlighting global collaborations around the GAP pillars of translational research, population health and government engagement initiatives. Delegates will enjoy interactive discussions and opportunities to make new connections with exhibitors, poster presenters and potential collaborators.
Plenary sessions will explore the latest in immunotherapy; what the future in digital and advanced health services might hold including the use of Artificial Intelligence, deep machine learning and robotics; and improving patient outcomes through focusing on prehabilitation programs.
Conference registration is free and provides access to OnAIR, the conference's virtual event platform, within which all the planned activities will take place.
(IMPORTANT NOTE: If you previously registered for the in-person conference, you will need to register again for the virtual conference, using the link below.)
