Students in the SHP programs participate in an annual research project. The instrument used to measure student learning outcomes for the research project is the research project rubric developed using modified measures from the CAT exam rubric, The California Critical Thinking Skills Test, and discipline specific rubrics. The rubric measured all four student learning outcomes and was broken down into twelve specific measures of critical thinking skills. SHP faculty administered the research project rubric. The results of each measure is included in the annual report and shared at the QEP annual retreat.
