The Office of Graduate Medical Education (OGME) is responsible for providing verification of the clinical post-graduate medical education training for former full-time MD Anderson based trainees. The OGME will only verify:
- Name of Trainee
- Trainee title
- Training program and/or specialty
- Dates of training
- Successful completion of training
Training verifications must be submitted with a signed release of information form from the former resident/fellow. The OGME will not do verbal verifications under any circumstances, nor will we release information of any kind without the signature release. If the verification is for a state medical board, you may submit the signed official form from the medical board requesting release of the information.

Verification Forms that the GME Office cannot complete:
- Forms that ask for procedure or privileging verification, or forms with direct oversight questions. Please contact the program directly to complete these forms.
- Forms for MD Anderson undergraduate or graduate degree programs. Please contact the UT-Health Science Center at Houston Registrar Office.
- Forms that ask for verification of training for former rotating trainees.
Verification of malpractice coverage and claims history – As a University of Texas - MD Anderson resident/clinical fellow, you were covered under the University of Texas System Professional Medical Liability Benefit Plan. Replacement residency or fellowship certificates - If you need to replace a training certificate for any reason, you must make the request to the Office of Graduate Medical Education (OGME). There is a $100 charge for each certificate replaced and checks or money orders should be made payable to “MD Anderson Cancer Center”. If the request is due to a name change, you must submit a copy of proof of the legal name change (i.e. marriage certificate, divorce decree, or court ordered name change). Requests can be submitted to the OGME via e-mail to email@example.com.
Change of address - If you wish to update your address, send an email to us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the corrected information.
