19 ARRA-Funded Students Join CPRTP for our 2nd Summer Research Experience

Through an ARRA Supplement to our NCI-funded R25E “Cancer Prevention Education: Student Research Experiences” (R25E CA056452), we were able to create this program to bring in students for a short-term research experience . This supplement was funded for the summers of 2010 and 2011.  These students include undergraduates and students entering graduate and medical school.

Last summer we had 14 students and this summer of 2011, we have 19 students! Each student was paired with a faculty mentor within the institution for a short-term research experience. We are honored to have these students join the Division of Cancer Prevention and Population Sciences (DCPPS) for our final summer installment of this special education program.
