Integrative Medicine Program - Clinical Observer
The Integrative Medicine Program accepts short-term observers from all over the world. Our goal is to accept those visitors who have the opportunity to make significant contributions in the field of integrative medicine. Because of limited resources, we may be unable to accommodate visitors according to their schedule. However, we do try to coordinate with schedules as time and resources permit. The earlier an applicant plans their visit in advance, the more likely it is that we would be able to schedule your visit at a desired time. Read more about observer programs at MD Anderson.
Please keep in mind that short observers do not have clinical privileges to see or treat patients. A Short-term Observer is one who observes our program for a period of 1-5 consecutive days. The observer’s experience is strictly defined as; watching and listening only with no patient contact; no clinical or research activity.
If you believe the Short-term Observer program is the correct fit for your goals, please email the General Information Form along with your current resume or CV to ASturm1@mdanderson.org.
If you are interested in applying for a Research Internship, the Integrative Medicine Program offers two (2) areas of research in which an intern can choose: natural products and clinical trials. Please see Research Internship if you would like to learn more about this practicum and how to apply.
If your goals are more in line with establishing an Integrative Medicine program you may want to consider attending one of our biannual Integrative Medicine Program Workshop. This workshop is intended for health care professionals interested in learning how to set up an integrative oncology program.
Please visit Integrative Medicine Conferences and Events for more information on programs we offer.
