Chen Laboratory

The Chen Laboratory studies the roles of epigenetic modifications, particularly DNA methylation and histone modifications, in various biological processes, including mammalian development, metabolism, immunity, and tumorigenesis. A variety of model systems are used, including mice, embryonic stem (ES) cells and various cell lines.

Located at the Science Park, in Smithville, Texas, the Chen Laboratory is part of the Department of Molecular Carcinogenesis and the Center for Cancer Epigenetics at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
