SCOPE Run for Colorectal Cancer
MD Anderson’s Sprint for Colorectal Oncology Prevention and Education (SCOPE) program is an annual event that raises funds for colorectal cancer awareness. Its signature event is an annual 5K run in March to recognize colorectal cancer awareness month. Our 14th annual SCOPE run was held on Saturday, March 23, 2019, and we thank all of our participants and supporters for another successful year.
Since 2005, the SCOPE 5K has helped support colorectal cancer awareness, education and outreach efforts. You can participate in the event by supporting an individual or team, or by fundraising through a team goal.
The SCOPE event needs volunteers to donate their time. As a volunteer, you not only help make the event a huge success, but also fun and entertaining for all of those in attendance.
You also can support the endeavors of SCOPE by contributing directly through the MD Anderson Development Office. Offline donations through the Development Office will allow 100% of your contribution to go directly to SCOPE to support grants which further colorectal education.
A tax acknowledgement will be issued by MD Anderson for contributions of $25 or more. Donations are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
