Dr. Eugenie Kleinerman:
Hello, I'm Dr. Eugenie Kleinerman, head of the Children's Cancer Hospital at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. I'd like to welcome your child and your family to our hospital. Receiving a diagnosis of cancer can be overwhelming for a family. We want you to know that everyone in the Children's Cancer Hospital is here to walk along with you and help you through this experience. You can count on your child receiving an accurate diagnosis, the best medical care in a child friendly environment, and supportive services for your entire family. One tool we thought you might find helpful is to hear from other families who've had children in our hospital. In their stories, they'll give you some personal tips about navigating the cancer journey. In addition, there are segments from two of our doctors and the director of our child life program. They offer their comments and advice to you as well. At the Children's Cancer Hospital, we know cancer and we know kids. Call us if you need us, we're here for you.
