Chemoprevention involves the use of natural or laboratory made substances to prevent cancer or reduce cancer risk. Research studies are under way for patients at risk for oral, prostate, cervical, lung, colorectal and breast cancers. |

Cancer Prevention Center Services provided include risk assessment, genetic testing, risk reduction counseling including smoking cessation counseling, nutrition counseling and chemoprevention as well as comprehensive and site-specific cancer screening examinations. In addition, the Center provides diagnostic evaluation for breast, skin and gynecologic abnormalities.
