Gift rings hope for pediatric patients

Jalyn McQuerter is a patient at MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital, which recently received a $500,000 gift supporting crucial research.

Houston philanthropist and longtime MD Anderson supporter Diane Lokey Farb made the contribution in honor of her late husband, Harold Farb.

Leslie Schwartz, M.D., is a psychiatrist at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center. He had a matched unrelated (allegeneic) donor bone marrow transplant at MD Anderson in November 2005. He and his wife, Peggy, live in Juno Beach, Fla.
