Fatigue & the Cancer Patient
More from Patient Power host Andrew Schorr on the Cancer and Fatigue show.
What was so fun about this program was the strong bond between the patient, Eva, and her MD Anderson doctor, Dr. Carmelita Escalante. Eva calls her “angel” because she developed strategies and treatments to take away Eva’s debilitating fatigue after recovering from breast cancer. Now Eva is running races all over Houston and will even be showcased in flyers for events. Dr. Escalante got a kick out of seeing a running photo of Eva included in her electric power bill.
I enjoy hearing how patients and providers come together as people, and this is a great example.
