DePinho is MD Anderson's President-Designate

The University of Texas System Board of Regents has named Ronald A. DePinho, M.D., the next president of MD Anderson.
DePinho has been the director of the Belfer Institute for Applied Cancer Science at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and professor of medicine (genetics) at Harvard Medical School. A member of the Institute of Medicine and fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, DePinho previously held numerous faculty positions at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.
His research interests are in the genetic aspects of cancer and the translation of this knowledge into clinical applications. He has authored more than 200 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
DePinho will be MD Anderson’s fourth full-time president starting Sept. 1, and will succeed John Mendelsohn, M.D., who has served as MD Anderson president for the past 15 years
