Briefs: 'Live, Reach, Celebrate' — A Second Life

Network - Fall 2008

As Gerald McRaney told more than 500 participants at Anderson Network’s 20th annual Living Fully With and Beyond Cancer Conference, a diagnosis of cancer marks the end of the “first life” and propels one into the “second life.”

This insight was evident in many of the presentations and conversations that took place over the three days and fit the conference theme that encouraged attendees to “Live, Reach, Celebrate” that second life.

Other keynote speakers, panelists, wellness workshop facilitators and breakout session leaders provided information pertinent to attendees, whether they were in active treatment, concerned about survivorship or present as caregivers. There also was ample opportunity to network, share meals and laugh.
