“The health benefits are almost immediate when you quit smoking. But even more profound, you can greatly reduce your chances for cancer,” says Paul Cinciripini, Ph.D., professor in the Behavioral Science and director of the Tobacco Treatment Program at MD Anderson.
Luckily, by quitting at any age you can lower your disease risks, improve your health to that of a non-smoker and live longer.
