These recipes are part of the Healthy Bites challenge to eat less salt. They were developed to help you eat healthy foods and lower your cancer risks!

Use these tasty, low-salt recipes to reduce the amount of salt you eat each day. Diets high in salt can increase your risk of stomach cancer.

Avocado Tomato Salad Recipe
Tomatoes are an excellent source of lycopene to help reduce prostate cancer risks. This recipe uses fresh lemon juice and cilantro to create a burst of flavor – salt and pepper are optional.

Broccoli Soup with Chervil Recipe

Broccoli is a cruciferous vegetable, packed with cancer-fighting antioxidants. This recipe pleases the palate with fresh chervil and garlic cloves for a soothing blend of flavors.

Creamy Green Dressing Recipe
This dressing is a great low-salt alternative to traditional salad dressing. It relies on herbs, like parsley and basil, for added flavor and only calls for a pinch of salt.

South African Carrot Salad Recipe
This refreshing carrot salad is perfect on a bed of lettuce. Salt is optional – the lemon, cumin and fresh mint used in this recipe creates a mouthful of flavor.
