CS&E News is published quarterly by the Clinical Safety & Effectiveness Education Program (CS&E).

The objectives of the CS&E program is to optimize the culture of clinical safety and effectiveness at MD Anderson by demonstrating improvements with projects, coordinating administrative and medical knowledge, developing leaders with a common understanding and future vision of clinical safety and effectiveness and to develop methods for organizational learning.

CS&E News has been developed to support these goals, offering information for and about program alumni and future participants.

Swafford Answers Questions about CS&E Program 

Joseph Swafford, M.D., F.A.C.C, is professor of medicine, Department of Cardiology, and deputy division head, Division of Internal Medicine. He serves as a member of the Steering Committee and as co-medical director of the Clinical Safety and Effectiveness (CS&E) course. Dr. Swafford shares his thoughts about the CS&E program, his experience and views about its impact and its future.
