CCH Newsletter - Spring 2012
To help take their minds off their illness, young patients at MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital have opportunities to participate in a number of fun activities.

Texas royalty
Miss Texas pays a visit to the Children's Cancer Hospital along with 2011 Lombardi Award nominees. Thanks to the Rotary Club, numerous patients also were invited to the award dinner and ceremony.
Read Across America
Patients participate in Read Across America Day, hosted by the Pediatric Education and Creative Arts Program. The annual literacy day celebrates the birthday of Dr. Seuss, inspiring more than 45 million young readers across the nation to pick up a book and read.
Teddy Bear Clinic
To help patients better understand and prepare for their treatment, child life specialists at the Children's Cancer Hospital created the Teddy Bear Clinic. Patients and their siblings become doctors for the day as they put on their kid-sized white coats and get hands-on experience working with 22 departments at
