The Cancer Center Support Grant

Annual Report - Winter 2014

Every five years, the National Cancer Institute (NCI) evaluates the research programs and facilities at MD Anderson to determine if its status as a comprehensive cancer center will be renewed. Following an extensive application process and a site visit by a panel of external experts assembled by the NCI’s Scientific Review Office, MD Anderson received an extension of the Cancer Center Support Grant, also known as “the Core Grant,” in May 2013.
