Summit on cervical cancer
Annual Report - Winter 2013
MD Anderson hosted the first cervical cancer summit, which attracted 150 people from 40 Texas organizations. Led by Lois Ramondetta, M.D., the event was a collaboration between the institution's Cervical Comprehensive Cancer Control Workgroup, Cervical Cancer-Free Texas, Houston Community College Coleman College and Latinos Contral El Cancer.
Attendees learned about the incidence and prevalence of cervical cancer in Houston and the surrounding area, plus much more.
