The Post Graduate Fellowship in Oncology Nursing is designed to provide advanced practice nurses an opportunity to experience a year-long Fellowship in Oncology Nursing at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center – recognized as one of the top two cancer centers in the nation. During the year, fellows will participate in graduate courses in oncology nursing at The University of Texas Health Science Center School of Nursing - Houston. In addition, the fellowship will include a core curriculum of clinical study that will ensure exposure to the entire spectrum of oncology care from prevention to end-of-life. Fellows will select and pursue an oncology specialty area for clinical focus and practice.

Selection Criteria - Paid, full-time fellowship positions available for the one year program. The applicant must have a minimum of a clinical master’s degree in nursing from an accredited university, be recognized as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners, be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas, have three years nursing clinical experience, and have current clinical experience in the advanced practice role (experience can be either in APN practicum or actual work experience).
