Patient Travel Services
MD Anderson is proud to provide a full service, “one-stop shopping” travel assistance for patients, family members and caregivers. Patient Travel Services employees are exclusively dedicated to our patient travel needs, and have access to all special MD Anderson airline, lodging, and ground transportation discounts and rates. When booking your airline travel, please keep in mind that the length of your stay may change. We encourage all patients to purchase airline tickets allowing them to make changes if necessary at no additional cost. Patient Travel Services is able to offer unrestricted, changeable, non-penalty airfares and change fee waivers on restricted fares from anywhere in the United States (and most of the world) for patients and their caregivers coming to Houston.
The Jesse H. Jones Rotary House is a hotel located on the MD Anderson campus and gives you easy access to your appointments and parking. You may make your own lodging reservations by contacting the hotel directly, or your International Patient Assistant will be happy to assist you with hotel reservations.
MD Anderson's Social Work department maintains a list of lodging options within five miles of the hospital, including hotels, apartments and corporate leasing. Many of these accommodations offer special medical rates.
From the airport to your hotel:
Transportation options between the airport and the hotel are via a taxi, Supershuttle and a private transportation company. Your International Patient Assistant will provide details on these services. Please note that the Supershuttle does not offer service to all hotels.
From your hotel to MD Anderson Cancer Center:
Most hotels located nearby operate a shuttle to and from MD Anderson. Please ask for the shuttle schedule when you check in to your hotel so you can be sure to arrive an hour before your appointment. Complimentary valet parking is offered to all new patients during their first appointment only.
