October 23 - Children's Art Project Holiday Kickoff Event
- Help the Children's Art Project launch their 2009 holiday season, and celebrate the young designers whose art is represented. It's a "Red Carpet" event complete with flashing cameras, media celebrities, refreshments and more.
- 10 a.m. - M. D. Anderson south campus research building
October 26 - Annual Education Conference
- This conference is for community teachers, nurses and parents and will address school issues that children with chronic illnesses face.

October 30 - Fall Festival and Parade
- Grab a costume (donated costumes available) and parade through the hallways with other pediatric patients as M. D. Anderson employees pass out candy and host activity booths as part of the annual Fall Festival.
- Parade starts in the Robin Bush Clinic (7th floor) at 11 a.m.
