Community Partnerships

How can I partner with M. D. Anderson to develop a cancer education program for my community or organization?

The Public Education Office partners with worksites, retailers, religious organizations, churches and other community-basedpartnership organizations to disseminate cancer information or implement cancer education programs.  The majority of our programs focus on ways people can incorporate healthy behaviors into their daily routines to reduce their risks for developing cancer.

If you are interested in collaborating with M. D. Anderson, contact us between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 713-792-3363 or send an email to publiced@mdanderson.org.

Past partnerships include collaborations with:

  • Empresarios Latinos Chamber of Commerce – Houston to organize the Expo Comercio Latino event
  • Asian Education League to organize an annual health and screening event
  • Korean Houston Community to conduct a cancer education seminar
  • Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council to organize a one-day health and career awareness conference for high school girls
