There are many events that celebrate cancer survivorship, both in Houston and nationwide. We encourage cancer survivors and their loved ones to participate in these events to meet other survivors, learn how to cope with life after cancer and to raise awareness and funds to find better treatments and prevention methods for their cancer.

Cancer180 Survivorship Symposium
This free symposium is open to young adult cancer patients, survivors and family members. The keynote speaker is Jonny Imerman, a young cancer survivor and founder of Imerman Angels.

Annual Cancer Survivorship Conference
Anderson Network's Cancer Survivorship Conference is held in September with a variety of speakers on issues important to cancer patients/survivors and their caregivers. Attendees can share hope, support and understanding with others like themselves, regardless of where they received treatment.
Cancer Survivorship Week
MD Anderson commemorates National Cancer Survivor's Day with a series of entertainment and educational activities during the first week of June. Patients, caregivers and their loved ones are invited to participate in education seminars and other free events at MD Anderson.
CancerCare Series 2013
CancerCare Series events focus on common issues that survivors face after cancer treatment. A series of workshops held throughout the summer feature 30-minute podcast recordings featuring expert speakers, followed by a panel of MD Anderson experts who take questions from the audience.
MD Anderson celebrates National Caregiver Month every November with a week of activities for caregivers and their families.
