If you think it’s not easy eating greens, think again. green juice

Sip on this refreshing, nutrient-packed juice drink for an extra dose of cancer-fighting goodness.

This low-sugar, low-calorie juice recipe boasts more non-starchy vegetables than fruit. Plus, it’s got ingredients, like spinach, apples and flaxseed oil, that are loaded with vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals and antioxidants to protect your body from cancer.

Ingredients

3 apples

1 stalk celery

1 cup spinach

1 inch piece ginger root

1/2 fennel bulb

1/2 cup parsley

1/2 whole cucumber (peel and seeds included)

1 teaspoon flaxseed oil

Directions

1. Pass all ingredients except flaxseed oil through a juicer.

2. Place in blender and add remaining ingredients.

3. Blend until smooth.

Yield: 4 servings
