Call them Mr. Touchdowns! There are four finalists for the Lombardi Award, but they’re all winners in the eyes of young cancer patients at M. D. Anderson.

Ben Hamilton (Minnesota), Steve Hutchinson (Michigan), Dominic Raiola (Nebraska) and Jamal Reynolds (Florida State) all rank amongst the nation’s best college football linemen, both offensive and defensive, and all know the joy of physical strength and good health. On Wednesday, December 6 at 8:15 a.m., these four star athletes will take time from their busy pre-awards dinner schedule and visit with children undergoing treatment at M. D. Anderson. Meeting these award finalists is a real thrill for the young patients, some of whom get to take the excitement even further and attend the black-tie dinner to see the award presented that night.

The football players bring inspiration and a load of holiday good wishes with them on their visit. Reporters and photographers are invited to join in the young patients’ excitement — there are many interview and photo opportunities.
