How You Can Help

2015 Teen Volunteer Process

If you are seeking a volunteer position with a medical / cancer research experience, please look into the MD Anderson Summer Experience offered through the Department of Trainee and Alumni Affairs.

Teen programs

Our staff has spent much time reviewing and evaluating the current teen volunteer program and a decision has been made to redevelop the program into what we hope will be a more rewarding experience for our teen volunteers.

During the 2015 redevelopment phase, no new teen volunteers will be accepted.

Please check our website for information about our new summer teen volunteer program, MD Anderson Teen Volunteer Leadership Program in Cancer Care, in December 2015.

The MD Anderson Teen Volunteer Leadership Program in Cancer Care will be designed to train a select number of teens and provide them with a rewarding volunteer experience. Our goal will be to instill a lifetime commitment to volunteerism. Training, communicating effectively, developing good customer service skills, and working alongside patients, caregivers, staff and adult volunteers will remain key components of the program.
