How You Can Help
Teen Volunteer Services
Teen volunteers. Like others who donate their time and energy to help eliminate cancer, we are often called the heart of M. D. Anderson. We work alongside faculty and staff, bonding with our peers and creating a youthful, rejuvenating atmosphere. Here at M. D. Anderson, we work together as a family, but still have fun! As the new generation, we work to make cancer history for the future.
Volunteer opportunities cover the spectrum — from direct patient contact (through traditional services such as floor hosting) to work requiring special skills (such as the concierge desk and piano playing). Our teen volunteers sacrifice a lot of time for the institution. Teens can volunteer in the summer daytime, weekend year-round or evening year-round programs. Please note that there are limited positions available in the evening and weekend programs.
