Matching Gifts
Maximize Your Gift Through Matching Funds
What is a matching gift?
Matching Gift programs allow you to allocate your company’s charitable dollars to the cause nearest and dearest to your heart. Matching gifts are donations made by employees and/or spouses to M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. The donor’s employer may pay the same amount or more to M. D. Anderson for their employee. Some companies will double or even triple the match amount.
In January 2006, The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center gained its accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is now a degree-granting institution listed in the Higher Education Coordinating Board’s Higher Education Directory.
Does my company have a matching gifts program?
To search for your company’s name, please go to the Matching Gift Companies page. If your company’s name is not listed, please contact your Human Resources Department or go to your company’s website for matching gift information. You may also call the M. D. Anderson Development Office at 1-800-525-5841 or 713-563-1951 and speak to a matching gift coordinator or send your questions by e-mail to giving@mdanderson.org.
Ways to add the matching gift to your donation
- Online - When completing the online donation form, include your company’s name in the appropriate field to request matching gift information. The Online Donation Form allows you to make a secure credit card donation with immediate confirmation.
- Payroll Deduction - Companies can deduct an approved amount from the employee paycheck and submit donations to M. D. Anderson. Please check with your payroll department for more information.
- Mail – You can mail a check along with your matching gift form to
