Houston's Outstanding Community Volunteer Fundraiser for 2007: Beth Sanders Moore

The Greater Houston Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) announced that Beth Sanders Moore was selected for the 2007 award based on her extensive volunteer commitment, raising more than $30 million for the arts, education and health care organizations throughout Texas during the last 15 years. She is most frequently noted for The Beth Sanders Moore Undiagnosed Breast Clinic and The Beth Sanders Moore Young Breast Cancer Survivors' Program, both of which are components of the breast program at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Beth Sanders Moore, a breast cancer survivor, is a leading advocate for breast cancer awareness and survivorship. In addition to her work with the Undiagnosed Breast Clinic and Young Breast Survivors' Program, she serves on the Executive Committee of M. D. Anderson's Board of Visitors. She is a co-chair for the December 2007 inaugural Living Legends Luncheon in Houston which will feature Oscar-winning film producer Sherry Lansing in an interview by ABC News' Sam Donaldson.
