How You Can Help

Cattlemen for Cancer Research

Eleven years ago a group of of volunteers, organizations and businesses got together to form a coalition that connected the agricultural-livestock industry with cancer research.

The result was the formation of the Cattlemen for Cancer Research, which has raised more than $1 million since its inception to fund research initiatives and programs at the Michale E. Keeling Center for Comparative Medicine and Research of The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Annually, Cattlemen for Cancer Research holds a charitable auction. This year's event will be held on October 17, 2009, at the Hills Prairie Livestock Auction Co., 1177 Highway 304 in Bastrop, Texas. Registration and the silent auction will start at 10 a.m. and the cattle auction will be held at 2 p.m.
