IMRT

Dose From IMRT Measured by Mailed Dosimeters

A new service is available to check absorbed dose and dose distribution from intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) delivered using linear accelerators.

Head and Neck Phantom

A head and neck phantom includes an insert containing imageable targets and an organ at risk as well as TLD and radiochromic film. The user images the phantom with CT, plans the treatment and delivers the IMRT treatment to the head and neck phantom. The report specifies the absorbed dose at the center of each of the targets and the organ at risk, profiles along three axes and maps of the dose distribution in two planes in the region of the target volumes.

Pelvis Phantom

A pelvis phantom includes bone-density femoral heads and two inserts: an imageable target and organs at risk, and TLD and radiochromic film. The user images the phantom with CT, plans the treatment and delivers the IMRT treatment to the phantom with the appropriate insert. The report specifies the absorbed dose at the center of the target, profiles along three axes and maps of the dose distribution in two planes in the region of the target volume.

Price: $1,000 per irradiation

Prepaid overnight shipping to and from the institution is additional. Orders may be placed with purchase order, check or credit card.

Advance reservation is advisable, particularly if you are commissioning a new machine.
