IDH1 Mutation Analysis
Indication
To detect and type mutations in exon 4 of the IDH1 gene for differential diagnosis and prognostic stratification of glial tumors and acute myeloid leukemia.
Methodology
PCR-based DNA sequencing. Also available on the Next Gen Sequencing platforms for Hematological malignancies (CMS53) Exon 4, codons 91-132, and for Solid Tumor testing (CMS46) codon 132.
Test Parameters
This assay will detect mutations in exon 4. The sensitivity of the assay is 20% of mutant sequence in the background of wild type sequence.

Sample Requirements
5ug purified DNA, or 4-1010 mL peripheral blood, 2-5mL bone marrow aspirate, 5 unstained tissue sections on glass slides along with 1 H&E-stained section.
