Services provided by the Immune-Monitoring Core Laboratory include:

  • Consultation on experimental and clinical trial design involving immune monitoring
  • ELISA on select cytokines/chemokines
  • ELISA for screening antibodies in cancer patients against select tumor antigens
  • ELISPOT assays (e.g., IFN-gamma, IL-4, Granzyme B)
  • Recall antigen response assay to screen for immunocompetence of cancer patients
  • Epitope screening using overlapping 15-mer peptide libraries
  • Leukocyte phenotype analysis with FACS (1-8 color)
  • Phospho-FACS assays of cytokine signaling in lymphocytes
  • Intracellular cytokine staining (IFN alpha, TNF-alpha)
  • HLA tetramer/pentamer/dextramer staining to track antigen-specific T cells
  • Cell proliferation assays (MTT, CFSE)
  • Multiplex cytokine assays using Luminex-100 and MSD platforms
  • New sensitive flow cytometry-based CTL assay using caspase 3-cleavage in target cells
  • CTL and NK cell assays using traditional 51Cr-release assays
  • Processing and storage of PBMC samples from clinical trials (on a case-by-case basis)
  • TCR Vβ clonotype analysis
