What We Do

Perform reverse phase protein arrays on the samples received from customers
Perform custom antibody validation using a reverse phase protein array
Provide standard operating procedures needed for the extraction of proteins from cell lines and tumor tissue for use in the reverse phase protein array studies
Perform primary data analysis using custom software to determine signal intensity, curve construction and relative protein expression and modification
Perform protein extraction from tumor tissue or cell pellets, upon request (with additional charge), for use in the reverse phase protein array studies (see pricing below)
Provide updated lists of antibodies for reverse phase protein array studies:
- Standard Panel containing ≥200 antibodies (for human samples) and ≥150 antibodies (for mouse samples)
Provide robust information using a panel of antibodies
Provide a turnaround time within 8-10 weeks of sample submission. However, occasionally, based on workload or equipment failure, analysis may take up to12 weeks.

Prices are per sample for a panel of ≥200 antibodies (for human samples) and ≥150 antibodies (for mouse samples), AND are subject to change. If a written quote is provided for a grant, we will honor the price quoted (provided the quote is less than 1 year old). If the quote is more than 1 year old, or no quote was provided, the new rates will be charged. Orders officially submitted and approved prior to any price increase will be honored at the old rate. ALL new orders submitted after new rates go into effect, WILL BE charged the new rates.
Investigator-Supplied antibody – $750 per sample set for each additional antibody (Special Requests)
We charge $200 data analysis fee per data set for 2 heatmaps (1 heatmap of unsupervised hierarchical clusters and a second heatmap for "Samples in the order as submitted").
- It is required to put each separate type of sample in a separate data set if you submit more than one type. (i.e. If you submit human and mouse samples, you will need two data sets, for which your charge would be $400. Furthermore, if you submit both tissue samples and cell lines, those will also have to be spit into separate datasets. We CANNOT combined these different types of samples into the same data sets and heatmaps).

Protein Extraction from tissue or cell pellets	$16 per sample (+ 60% overhead for customers outside MDACC)
Reverse Phase Protein Array (Outside MDACC)	$70 per sample + 60% overhead
Data Analysis Fee with Heatmaps	$200 per data set (+ 60% overhead for customers outside of MDACC)
Additional Antibody Charge (Supplied by Investigator)	$750 per antibody, per sample set (+ 60% over head for customers outside MDACC)
Antibody Validation	$750 per antibody (+ 60% overhead for customers outside MDACC)

For Non-Academic Institutions
Reverse Phase Protein Array	$180 per sample + 60% overhead
Protein Extraction from tissue or cell pellets	$24 per sample + 60% overhead
Data Analysis Fee with Heatmaps	$200 data analysis fee per data set + 60% overhead
Additional Antibody Charge (Supplied by Investigator)	$750 per antibody, per sample set + 60% overhead
Antibody Validation	$750 per antibody + 60% overhead
