Clinical Practice Algorithms
These clinical practice algorithms have been specifically developed for MD Anderson using a multidisciplinary approach and taking into consideration circumstances particular to MD Anderson, including the following: MD Anderson’s specific patient population; our services and structure; and our clinical information. Moreover, these algorithms are not intended to replace the independent medical or professional judgment of physicians or other health care providers.
Cancer ScreeningCancer screening algorithms depict best practices for screening patients for precancerous conditions and various malignancies including risk categories and frequency for specific testing. | Cancer TreatmentCancer treatment algorithms depict best practices for care delivery that illustrate a multidisciplinary approach for evaluating, diagnosing, and providing treatment recommendations and ongoing surveillance for various malignancies. |
Clinical ManagementClinical management algorithms depict best practices for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating specific conditions that arise during the course of cancer treatment. | SurvivorshipSurvivorship algorithms depict best practices for care delivery by providing management tools to patients under surveillance for cancer recurrence and secondary cancers. Patients are transitioned to survivorship once there is no evidence of disease for a specific time period dependent on the patient’s cancer site. |
Disclaimer: These algorithms are not intended to replace the independent medical judgement of the physician or other health care providers in the context of individual clinical circumstances to determine a patient's care.
