Cancer Manager® Host Affiliate Program
The Cancer Manager Host Affiliate Program is a comprehensive oncology quality improvement and best practices program based on the M. D. Anderson approach to multidisciplinary cancer care. As the basis of its foundation, the program utilizes M. D. Anderson clinical practice guidelines and best practices, as well as nationally accepted quality indicators identified by The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), Advisory Board and National Quality Forum (NQF).
Use of these tools and indicators will identify opportunities for quality improvement to raise the level of cancer care provided in the community.

At East Jefferson General Hospital we have always strived to give our patients the best cancer care possible. As medical director of radiation therapy we want to be on the cutting edge of today's most effective treatments. When we learned of a possible affiliation with M. D. Anderson, we saw this as an opportunity to make sure we are following state of the art treatment guidelines. In addition, have M. D. Anderson perform concordance studies of what we are doing allows us to identify our strong points and improve where necessary. For our patients by having an affiliation with M. D. Anderson, it gives them reassurance that we are a quality cancer center and the treatment they receive at East Jefferson General Hospital is state of the art.
On a personal note, we have been an affiliate for a year now. I have enjoyed the interaction and comradery with the physicians and directors at M. D. Anderson. They have provided me with expert opinion and I feel as if I'm making new friends all the time!
Clinical Care Centers (Radiation & Medical Oncology)
Until recently, M. D. Anderson provided care only at its main campus in the Texas Medical Center. M. D. Anderson now has several clinical care centers throughout the greater Houston area. Radiation treatment and medical oncology are now available in the Clear Lake area, Bellaire, Fort Bend County, Katy and The Woodlands.
