Community Clinical Oncology Program Research Base

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP) Research Base is an NCI-funded program that prepares cancer control and prevention trials. The trials are then made available to a national network of CCOP sites and independent Main Member sites.

Mission

The mission of the Research Base is to enable more patients, particularly those in the community, to have access to state-of the-art cancer care and to enhance the health of patients affected by cancer. Affiliation with a CCOP site allows patients to have access to clinical protocols without having to relocate or leave the support of their communities.

The Research Base is also interested in facilitating the exchange of medical information with internal faculty, fellows and other academic centers. Through collaborative efforts, the Research Base provides a platform for sharing ideas concerning cancer control, treatment and prevention.

If you would like to apply for membership/affiliation with the CCOP Research Base, please complete the membership application (pdf) and fax it to 713-563-2957, or mail to:
